While I was painting I was thinking about a recent news that struck me: four children arrived in Trieste in a freight train, coming from Syria, four little brothers from 4 to 10 years old, who left with their pregnant mother\u2026 despair knows no obstacles. They slept using jackets as a bed on the clay hills, breathing powder (fortunately compacted by sub-zero temperatures) for three days and three nights. Frightened, frozen, anxious.
