The lion

The lion, oil and acrylic on canvas, 60×80

Always a symbol of pride and strength, represented from the mists of time in every form of art and exemplified by the Sphinx of Giza in Egypt. In this vision the Lion seems doubtful, uncertain whether to attack or stop, whether to follow his own nature impetuously or to act with judgment and reflection, in an evident metaphor with the human race, always in conflict between self-destructive progress and the search for a balance with the environment.
