Protagonists of a mature and fully consolidated relationship, in the second painting of the triptych, the two twins are locked in an embrace: Manuela finds refuge in Maria Luisa’s chest, protected and reassured by her open and delicate hand. Although their eyes are closed, their connection is evident, and the emotional transport of the women permeates the entire painting.

Against the delicate, azure background that characterizes the entire triptych, the two figures seem to whisper and evoke the complexity and sweetness of family bonds and mutual support even in diversity.

While observing the painting, the viewer can perceive a strong sense of unity, along with that intimate and profound need for comfort and love that resides within every human being.
