Semplicemente donna II

We live in hard, uncertain times of anxiety and this affects my mood. This painting was the result of experiments and some research. I wanted to try new materials and new techniques combining this with the use household tools.

I had in mind a figurative image that I had already painted.

I took that image and represented it with strokes of plaster, acrylic and spatula but also using knives and forks.

Beyond the likes or dislikes, I felt relieved when the work was finished. While I paint I meditate, I talk to myself and find peace especially when I’m in the grip of anxiety.

With the completed work I had zero anxiety but more lightness which is what I would like to convey with this painting.
